As an emergency patient you are always welcome at our hospital, regardless of your nationality or where you live. For planned care such as operations, all residents of the Stockholm County area are welcome to seek remittance with us.

Planned care for non-Swedish nationals residing outside of Stockholm County is provided through Stockholm International Patient Office, for more information see more information here from Karolinska University Hospital.

Internships and Exchange

Exchange students are welcome to do traineeship at Capio S:t Görans Hospital through student exchange programmes such as Erasmus, Nordplus and Linnaeus-Palme. The allocation of exchange students is however made through Karolinska Institutet.For more information, please visit their website.

We do not accept applications directly from foreign students.

FAQ - frequently asked questions from patients and visitors

To make, reschedule or cancel an appointment, please contact your clinic's reception by phone. If you do not have the direct number to said clinic, please call our switchboard: +46 (0)8-58 70 10 00.

Questions regarding your specific treatment, your disease or health condition can not be answered by e-mail.

If you need a prescription or medical certificate, please contact the doctor or the reception you visited.

It is also possible to contact us via our switchboard if you are unsure of whom to turn to: +46 (0)8-58 70 10 00.

In order to receive a medical record, a written request is required. The request can be sent be mail or fax. The medical records will be sent by mail to the person who placed the order.

The request must contain: name, date of birth and address; and, if possible, details about clinic and period of your stay in the hospital. If you lack a Swedish Social Security number (personnummer) please notice that you probably received a temporary identification number at your visit. This number always starts with the current year and then 6 digits, for example: 2020-******

We do not send any medical records by e-mail nor do we accept requests about medical records by e-mail.

Capio St Göran's Hospital does not provide psychiatric care. Psychiatric care on hospital grounds is run by Stockholm County Council. Please visit theirwebsitefor contact information.

We receive a large number of requests for visits but unfortunately we can not accomodate them all. Please turn primarily to the clinics that are of interest.

Patient fees at Capio St Göran's Hospital are the fees set by the Stockholm County Council.General information about health care costs.

Capio St Göran's Hospital is a private hospital, but we do not accept private patients. All treatment provided here is financed by the Stockholm County Council.

All our patient invoices are sent out and handled by Visma Financial Solutions. If you have questions regarding payment options, please contact Visma directly by telephone +46 (0)771 23 24 00 or by e-mail: faktura.collectors@visma.se

Or, contact us at the Department for Medical Fees and Invoices. Our telephone hours are Monday-Thursday, 9-10 am, +46(0)8-5870 2027.

If you have received an invoice in Swedish that you don't understand, you can contact the Department for Medical fees or Visma Financial Solutions for assistance with translation to English.

Fees for non-attendance and fees for care at one of the hospital wards are not included in the free card. You can see the current status of your health free card by logging in towww.1177.seusing your mobile bank-id.

If you have chosen to pay by invoice, the fee will register immediately in the free card. You will receive the invoice to your home addresslater on. If you have a free card in another regional county council you will have to send us that free card before we can remove any fees.
